Spring is here so it’s a good time to take stock of what’s happening, here at Manchester Osteopaths the staff and practitioners are really looking forward to the lighter days with enthusiasm for the extra day time.

I’m writing today with this  infomail, as over the next few weeks there will be many including myself  who will jump into action with sports, activities and definitely the gardens, maybe it’s time to get fit for the summer or simply clear out the junk and make space for new growth.

However the down side is we often feel so good with a buzz about ourselves to get things done, we end up doing simply too much, so if you are considering going full throttle this bank holiday here’s a few tips to help you stay at your best and create a better environment to assist recovery.

-Plan you day and know your limitations, it’s much more enjoyable when a plan comes together and you can stand back and admire your days labours.
-Warm up/cool down with some stretching.
-Keep fuelled up with snacks, food breaks and drink plenty of water.
-Get a good night’s sleep, sleep helps on so  many levels.

This link is a useful article from Sky British Cycling which was aimed to help cyclist recover, but you can take some really useful points from it, have a look at it and if you have any questions give me a call or simply drop the clinic an email.

Keep well, keep active
