Oakley Osteopathic Clinic is owned by Registered Osteopath Tanya Bray. Tanya graduated from the London School of Osteopathy in 2004 and has been treating a wide range of patients from young to old in Thatcham and Basingstoke ever since.
Osteopathy is not just about helping with back pain, although this is a common problem with patients. Osteopathy is also used to help relieve the symptoms of a range of conditions, including neck pain, headache arising from the neck, shoulder and elbow pain, muscle spasms, sports injuries and muscle imbalance caused by poor posture.
During a consultation with Tanya, you will have time to discuss your current symptoms, whilst also letting Tanya know about your medical history and any life style or postural demands. Following this Tanya will examine you in order to reach a diagnosis, which she will explain to you.
Treatment is usually given in the first session and is usually in the form of soft tissue massage, gentle mobilisation techniques or cranial osteopathy. Often you will then be given some home rehabilitation advice after your treatment so that you can improve your symptoms as quickly as possible.
Tanya suggests that patients wear something comfortable for their treatments, such as shorts or leggings (with a bra or crop top for ladies). For more details or an appointment, please ring Tanya on 07771 534 188.
